Abstract: Against the backdrop of the "Healthy China" initiative, this study explores strategies and pathways for physical-medical integration in the physical therapy and rehabilitation majors in higher voca- tional colleges. Through literature analysis and interviews, the study examines policy guidance, industry integration, practices during public health emergencies, national health status and needs via big data, and health promotion mechanisms through sports. The findings highlight the critical role of physical-medi- cal integration in building a healthy China. Higher vocational colleges should strengthen the development of physical therapy and rehabilitation majors based on policy, theoretical, and practical needs. They should build specialized curricula, enhance faculty capacities, and establish cooperative models and practical platforms. The paper proposes concrete implementation strategies and pathways, offering theo- retical and practical guidance for promoting physical-medical integration.
